“GOSPEL MUSIC COMES INTO ITS OWN”

Once in a while, a groundbreaking and unique phenomenon comes into being and matures into something beyond everyone’s wildest imagination. For the first time in South Africa, a new creature is born as Gospel Genesis launches the first ever All South African Gospel Music Awards coupled with a Gospel Talent Search and National Gospel Festival. These All S.A. Gospel Music Awards will later culminate to the All Africa Gospel Music Awards which will be launched in the not too distant future.

The latest Consumer Scope figures have confirmed the assertion that gospel music is the most popular genre in the country, yet little if any recognition is given to the artists and contributors.

The All S.A. Gospel Music Awards (THE OLIVE AWARDS), the National Gospel Festival and the Gospel Talent Search are intended to remedy this situation and serve as a platform to recognise gospel music and its creative genius. These will also afford aspirant musicians a vehicle to showcase their talent and clinch recording contracts.
